Hi Guy! What is a troll, in your mind at least?

As Bud Grant used to say, "Statistics are for losers." TAMU looks legit. This is after only one week. There is much yet to be done. If LSU can develop a decent pass rush, they may be a force as well.

what I like about your thread is it at least represents an opinion based on results instead of purely tweaking preseason rankings.

If you ranked the SEC by who people beat and how I might do the SEC something like:

1) A&M
2) UGA
3) LSU
4) Alabama
5) Ole Miss
6) Auburn
7) MSU?

Vandy and USC did not do themselves proud in their openers. Florida DNP. Missouri played a decent FCS team. Arkansas lost but seemed improved so Auburn beating Arkansas wasn't bad either

Considering its practically the same offense from last year minus JFF

Let me preface this with the statement that I loved JFF and what he brought to the game... but

Wrong, wrong, wrong. This is what Sumlin's offense looks a lot more like. JFF would run around in the backfield until something came open downfield, after coverage broke down. Hill was never really pressured all that much because he got rid of the ball so exceptionally quickly. Lots of short passes, and slants. This was the HUNH people hate so much. 99 plays, and that includes a 10-minute clock eating drive in the fourth quarter.

Also, the OL and WR groups appear to be just as good. Receivers may actually be better this year than last as a whole. RSJ and Clear provide some major matchup issues in the secondary

115 yrds of SCAR's offense was on 2 busted pass plays

You can't really use that excuse. There will likely be a busted play or two most times. That's just part of the game.

The biggest test for A&Ms offense this year will be against teams who can man up and press the receivers. I wanna see what he looks like when he has to improvise a little on timing and his receivers being forced to fight for their routes.

I think that is reasonable.
