HUh?

LSU fans moved on. Just check the Rant.

LSU fans are talking about potential replacements, not bemoaning our former DC.

Shocking, I know. Fastest our fanbase got over anything, ever. And it seems to drive TAMU nuts

Do you not see your entire fanbase in denial? Everyone but LSU fans can see the melt, it's hilarious

Let me guess, thinking logically is "denial". You guys on the SECr wanna see what you wanna see. Denial, melt, etc.

Kind of true. I am melting over the constant melt accusations.

That is funny.

Yet....

You re-posted this last week:

If we lose Chavis over 700k a year Alleva should definitely be fired.

Make up your mind please. You guys lost him for less than $700K per year. You must have already called the admin demanding Alleva be fired.

Wait... that was last week. This week Chavis sucks right?? Ummmm Okay.

The good thing for them is that the game is usually over for them before the last drive, so no biggie.

Dude is moving to a tax free state. Great business decision. Props to him. And he has nowhere to go but up with that defense (Four Eggs ).

Talking about "not melting" IS in fact one of the stages of melting.

Its simple melting 101.

You mean, Chavis will not stop LF from scoring? He's a waste of money then.

At first I was a little shocked I will give you that....but, with the list of DC's interested in coaching us, the Aggies might of done us a favor. The melt will definitely be short lived with this one

The initial shock upset alot of fans.

We got over it after the names of replacements surfaced.

Far as I am concerned, Pendergast/Coach O is an upgrade over Chavis/Haley. Is it a huge upgrade? no.

The terrible showing in the bowl game also helped the grieving process.

aggies just never kept it close enough to benefit from Chavis opponent's last drive demise.

It's funny because if that offsides is called, they may have beaten LSU thanks to Chavis

Agree with you. Just pointing out that one of the people making fun of the hire last week was advocating paying him an additional $700K last week. If not... then Alleva should be fired.

Common sense and business decisions have no place on this board.

He doesn't suck. He's a good DC. He has plenty of flaws though, which will only be magnified when paired with an uptempo offense.

And we should never lose a coach, any coach, over money.

If we get CP and Bebe as DL coach that's an upgrade no matter how you slice it. If we hire Steele then yeah it's time to melt.

'Preciate your interest in our program btw

I di a thread on the Tiger Rant to gauge Tiger fan's thoughts. What Aggie doesn't understand is that Chavis was not really on firm ground with the fan base. Neither are Miles or Cameron. There is an OVERWHELMING sense that the program needs a complete ENEMA. Out with the old. Pretty interesting results. LINK

The HONEST consensus is somewhere between these two positions:

quote:

B. I'd have liked him to stay, but I think we will be fine if we get a qualified candidate. But he was a great coach and he would have had LSU playing at a high level for years.

C. I'm glad he left. He was a mixed bag. Too many last-minute meltdowns. It's the best thing for the program. Nothing personal, but it was time. The more I think about it, the better I feel. Let's make a BETTER hire.

There are like three LSU fans in the world that are sad/mad about Chavis leaving.
