What do y'all think about this? Do you agree that it should be removed? I think they should make some kind of adjustments if anything. Football wouldn't be the same without the kickoff.

They've been talking for years now. That's why they moved it up a few years ago. Most KOs result in touchbacks now.

That would ruin football. I agree with you that some adjustments should be made, but completely getting rid of it is not right.

May be a bit of a stretch

Wouldn't ruin football, but it would be less exciting.

Interception returns are more dangerous that KOs. I don't like it, but understand where they are coming from.

They will completely ruin football eventually.

Football will be much worse without kickoffs. Special teams are big part of the game.

Move the kickoff to the 40. That way it still leaves onside kicks as possibilities and 90% + get booted out of the endzone

And only bring a touchback out to the 20; like it used to be.

Well, most likely Alabama doesn't beat Clemson without that onside kick recovery and the KO return for the touchdown. At the very least they wouldn't have put the game away like they did so I think this idea sucks.

unfortunately this is where lsu has been fairly poor recently.
it seems that we've kicked more out of bounds than touchbacks

Kenyan Drake doesn't become a Bama legend without the kickoff.
This is a dumb idea.

Every play in college football is potentially dangerous. Removing it would dilute the product.

Dabo Swinney is probably leading the charge. If they could only do away with kickoffs retroactively....

How about everyone post a serious injury their team has suffered during a kickoff. concussion or otherwise.
LSU: none stand out off the top of my head. But I can name 30 that weren't kickoff related
I think it's just political BS. They can say they did something to make the game "safer"

They should change the rule such that the usual players are replaced by cheerleaders in bikinis. Don't care where they kick off from.

fricking awful, they'll eliminate tackling next.
Football in 50 years will be an unrecognizable pussy shite show.
