I heard with the recent SEC officials retiring, the league office is going to have Wilbur Hackett Jr. come back to guest-officiate our game this season....

His final game as a CFB official in a bowl game in 2011 was particularly notable as he made solid tackles of 2 WRs, an asst. coach for TCU, 1 cheerleader, and a Wisconsin ball boy. Although the cheerleader one was flagged for targeting and hitting out of bounds:

Well LSU certainly didn't pile up a ton of points on Arkansas last year so in that regard you are probably dead on.

All of the Miles vs. Spurrier games have been a touchdown or less, so I don't think it will be a blowout, but they do have our number. Probably a 24-17 game or something like that.

Our D can't get any worse. Lewis, Sawyer, and Wideman I think are guaranteed starters who can make an impact. Still don't have the depth we've had recently, but 100% more talented than last year. If they just get in the way of some people, our linebackers can actually do good things this year. We played a lot of young, talented players in the secondary last year so I think we'll be good there, although I still have concerns at safety.

Still unsure about the QB situation. I think Mitch can be the guy. He's got enough pieces around him to do really well, but Spurrier needs to help him out by leaning on the running game where we have quality depth instead of trying to air it out all the time.

Spurrier will be prepared. His offense will put up 50 against LSU's poorly coached defense.

I must have missed the part where OP asked us to explain our most wild fantasies that we so desperately wish to witness.

LSU defensive coaching taking a huge step backward is reality not fantasy

Now this guy producing a top 10 defense like Chavis did? That's a fantasy

But they aren't beating anyone decent unless they can fix the defense.

Exactly. They finished 13th (of 14) in SEC total defense and 12th in scoring defense. Their rushing defense (13th) was worse than their passing defense (10th).

South Carolina won't be able to stop the run, and LSU will cruise.

We may take a step back but we'll still have an above average SEC defense, if not for talent alone. I would bet you good money it will be better than what Chavis puts together next year. Y'all are gonna get carved since y'all lack elite defensive back talent.

I agree with you on both of these points. Neither of us will have an elite defense next year

LSU fans are awful cocky for a team with an unproven QB and what appears to be a downgrade at DC. Which was by far the largest reason for any success last season.

I'd say LSU takes this game, but it doesn't go down the way it's being talked about itt.

It was an obvious troll flame mother fricker when you referred to us as USCjr rather than USC, Carolina, The Gamecocks, SCAR or USCe.

It should be a good game.

LSU will have to earn it IF they are going to take it in The Cock Pit. I hope it's a night game.

There will be no domination of the type you are implying. SCAR will expect to win the game and oh .... just a fwiw. Hurley, Chubb, et sl, do not romp through Billy Brice. Yet you believe Fournette will have a 200+ yd game?

I like the kid - he's a talent. Seems like a good kid too. But he's gonna have to be exceptional to get 100 that day, much less 200.
