Harrisiah leads the charge against the cocks. Fournette gets 200+ rushing yards.
28-13 LSU wins.

Thoughts? Genuine post, no flame.

Fvck it 35-13. Tigers have a slow start but pull away the second half.

I don't think LSU will pile up a ton of points in the game but I expect them to win this one with some degree of comfort.

Though Spurrier is always dangerous.

If South Carolina has a QB - they might surprise, because they have decent players at WR and RB and the OL won't be terrible.

But they aren't beating anyone decent unless they can fix the defense. That defense was fricking terrible last year. Gave up 5.37 yards per carry and the pass defense was bad too.

I don't see anything on their roster that indicates it's going to get too much better against the run. The secondary should be better though.

I like LSU to run right through them as of today.

Some of the new d-linemen this year

Marquavius Lewis (JUCO)
Dexter Wideman (JUCO)
Shameik Blackshear
Dante Sawyer (JUCO)

The three JUCO guys are recruits that should have been on campus last year but didn't qualify. Lewis and Wideman were in the top 5 at the position in the JUCO rankings IIRC.

Blackshear will be a true freshman, but he also another highly ranked guy. Top 10 at his position.

Are those guys expected to start?

I mean, I guess maybe if even one of those guys can contribute, it would help, but I mean, how much better are they going to get? 5.37 YPC allowed, they gave up 200 yards or more like 7 times. 300 yards or more 2 times.

Also 29 rushing TDs.

It's amazing they made a bowl game with stats like that.

Yeah Day 1 starters most likely. I mean they have the stars and rankings behind them. They've also had time in JUCO to mature a little bit. They aren't coming straight from the high school stadium.

We were completely undersized up front last year which made the whole defense weaker. The push and speed should be a lot better, especially at the ends. Half the reason why we had so many issues on the line is because none of these guys could qualify and make it on the team.

Are you joking which one of our awesome DE's from last year is going to stop any of those guys from starting. We got all those guys coming plus an all big 12 safety.

Todd Gurley didn't even break 200 against us last season. Just throwing that out there

There are too many question marks on our side to even make a prediction, IMO. We could be much better than last year, or we could be about the same. Who knows.

LSU is one of those teams that we just can't seem to put it away with. Hopefully it will be a good game.

These were my exact thoughts about Arkansas @ LSU this year.

The reality is that we South Carolina fans really have no idea what to expect for next year. I don't think there is any way in the world our defense could be worse than last year. I would like to believe our pass rush and secondary will be light years better, but until we see it on the field...it's just hope. Luckily, no matter how much talent LSU has at the skill positions, until they get competent quarterback play their offense won't blow anyone away.

I think LSU will have a big advantage defensively against our offense. Our line is probably going to be average at best. We have some talent at RB with Wilds and Williams, but I don't believe either will be as good as Lattimore or Davis were for us. The biggest question is quarterback. We could be a disaster at the position, or we could be surprised and very good. Hard to tell when no one on the team has seen any snaps of note in a game.

28-13 actually sounds about what I would expect at the moment. That could change once they take the field for a few games, and I can get a better feel for the teams.

All of our problems stemmed from the d line last season. If that d line comes to play that defense is going to be light years ahead of what it was last season.
