You did get whipped twice by TCU in 2015. You just lucked out faced a 3 seed in the supers. A&M, along with about half the teams in the tourney, would have beaten ULa

What happened to the rush defense? 80th in the country is gruesomely bad. Do you think it will be better in 2017?

Sumlin's been done for a while. What you're seeing now is rigor mortis.
It's a matter of cost. It's not just firing and buying out Sumlin.
Had we fired him after 2016, we would have owed:
$15 million for Sumlin
$2 million for Chavis
$1 million for Mazzone
$8 million for the rest of the assistants
THEN whatever the new coach/assistants would require.
This year is Chavis' and Mazzone's last year (notice his contract has not been extended) and Sumlin would only be owed $10 million.
