FWIW-I like Chavis as a DC. I was pissed at him with how everything happened right before the Music City Bowl and all that. But I've made peace with all that. With all that happened at the end of the following year, I totally understand why he wanted to jump ship when he did.
And for the most part, while his running defenses have kind of sucked the last couple of years, his ability to limit opponents' scoring has been pretty good the last two years.

Chavis is a good coach if his fat arse doesn't have to recruit. All he wants to do is dip a pound of skoal a day, draw plays, and put every buffet out of business in a ten mile radius.
