Okay, but last two teams in this decade from Texas to play in the national championship were pretty much all Texan.
I think the key is coaching talent. If you have it, and you are in Texas, even at cockroach schools, you can go pretty far.

Still not gonna play the fricking longhorns and there ain't shite those frickers can do about it.
You're wrong about that. And I suggest that old farts have more legitimate complaints about them than you do. But it doesn't matter. It's Texas football. It's going to happen. You're dissing Friday Night Lights, you godless communist.

The fricking longhorns gave less than a rat's arse about football in Texas when they tried to leave to the big 10 in 2010. Why should we give a frick?

Irrelevant? We should "give a frick" because that's what the citizens of Texas want. It doesn't mean we have to be swapping spit with them. I don't EVER expect UT to view A&M as an equal or even a worthy opponent. I don't care.

What does that book, TV show or movie have to do with this?
I think the book is too much, but I love the movie. Really nailed life in Odessa. The TV show implied Texas State was Texas A&M so I openly diss it.
And if the citizens of Texas want the game so bad they should make a law.

I think it is more than that. Charlie is a good coach who might bust because being head coach at a major Texas program is like running a débutantes ball with all the egos. I think the high school environment leads to entitlement and the development of bad tendencies, which then makes it hard to succeed at a high level. The only "coach" to do it in modern history is Vince Young.
I think the success of TCU and Baylor proves the point. Their little three star talents weren't coddled, weren't developed young, and they had a hunger for more than punching a ticket to the NFL. They want to prove themselves and win in a way that some five star recruits don't.
The reason five star Texans do well under a Saban or a Harbaugh is because they break them down and don't coddle them in college. When a Texas coach tries to do that he ends up having to raid hungry fricking three stars from Florida to fill a roster. Word gets around, and Mack Brown set a standard of coldling recruits and high school coaches.
Honestly Florida doesn't have better talent at the top end, the NFL proves it. But the recruits aren't the defacto mayors of their county like in Texas and that means they have some growth left to develop in a superior college system.

frick the citizens of Texas. 90% of them are t-shirt longhorn fans. They didn't step up and demand that the fricking longhorns act in their best interest. The citizens can frick OFF!!! When the citizens decide to stop sucking longhorn dong, we may actually give a frick about them. Why should A&M bear the burden of carrying the "wants" of the citizens of Texas? It's not our problem.

...but I will compromise for the sake of the Citizens of Texas if our demands are met, those demands being:
1. All refs for any athletic contest will be former or current A&M students or employees in perpetuity.
2. The UIL will be disbanded and replaced by the A&MIL.
3. All high school championship games or events will take place on A&M's campus in perpetuity.
4. The next 20 games will be played at Kyle Field.
5. The fricking longhorns will pay royalties to A&M for any images or events featuring A&M (past or present) that appear on the LHN, in perpetuity.
6. All official document's, public meeting, press releases or other official communications or writings from the University of Texas System or any individual school within the system will refer to Texas A&M College Stattion, in perpetuity, as "Daddy," "big brother," or "Merciful Lord and Savior, A&M."
Otherwise, the thankless citizens of Texas can frick THE frick OFF!
