Exactly.
At the time of that quote, Strong was (and still is) getting his arse handed to him in a sling.
He was throwing any and everything against the wall, hoping to make something stick.
"Music in practice," for example, was a gadget.
Take a guess which coach has changed his opinion?

We're the gadget program meanwhile strong came in and started all kinds of gimmicks:
Hire first black coach bc black coach down the road is kicking their a$$ in recruiting
Coaches and players in same dorm,
"puttin T back in texas"
players must earn hook em hand sign ( but he doesn't and neither do recruits?)
No helmet decals for camp (most teams dont use decals on camp helmets)
kicks off a bunch of players, but gives starters a second/third chance.
Gatorade bath after North Texas win.
Matthew Mccaughnehy guest speaker
and the list goes on...
They've been playing the morality card hard, bc of recent stretch of A&M arrests.
it's all weak and short sighted. He had worse tPOS at Louisville and welcomed tPOS transfers etc....
