Blame Dan Snyder for that, not Spurrier. TWO Super Bowl-winning coaches have been ousted under that dipshit's ownership.

Blaming Spurrier for that is ridiculous.

Oh, I blame Snyder most of all, but there is plenty of blame to go around. Spurrier was not without fault in that cluster. I mean, he brought in Danny Wuerffel to be the starting QB.

You are correct that Snyder is the worst

Dabo keeps trying to checkmate Spurrier; too bad he's using checkers instead of chess pieces.

This sums it up pretty good.

Heres a quote from the Chris Low story that Spurrier had about Dabo's post Orange Bowl remarks.

quote:

“I called Danny Ford and said, ‘Danny, does Dabo forget that Clemson in 1981 went down to the Orange Bowl, won the national championship and went undefeated?’ ” Spurrier joked. “They didn’t call it a BCS bowl back then, but it was the same bowl, the Orange Bowl, and the Orange Bowl has always been a major bowl.”

I've read that Spurrier is a big fan of the Art of War.

Not thrilled about Dabo's reply... he didn't really need to say anything at all. It should be no surprise that Spurrier says dikcbag things to get a rise out of people, and Swinney continues to make himself a pretty easy target for that.

Dabo's best asset is as an emotional motivator (the anti-Richt), which is also his biggest fault. Spurrier's biggest asset is... umm... he's the Tommy Bowden of SCAR. So, he wins big games in an effort to gloss over pathetic losses. Clearly that's also his biggest fault (except to those with exceedingly low expectations.)

Yup.

What makes the Danny Ford name dropping by Spurrier even funnier is that over the offseason Ford said Dabo should just keep his mouth shut whenever Spurrier says something because hes in his head and its affecting him

This right here is the most ridiculous response tiger fans have adopted this year

Bowden never won more than 9 games in a season iirc

They coach and recruit teenagers. They spend a good amount of time around them. You don't think a 17 year old junior in high school looks at what Spurrier says and thinks playing for him would be awesome? He beats his rivals, has USC playing at a high level AND talks shite like a boss? I would imagine it's more appealing to a teenager then Coach Richt's tired Jesus speech.

Tommy Bowden never won 11 games in a season at Clemson. Clemson has never won 11 games in 3 straight seasons. Congrats on your Welfare Bowl little brother.

11 win seasons with nothing of significance to put in your trophy case. Congrats! Our "Welfare Bowl"was a great game. What more do you want from a college football fan point of view? But talking about your rivals game more than your own (which was a good one to watch as well)seems pretty little brotherish to me, just sayin.

If the BCS did not have bowl tie-ins and you could have more than 2 teams from the same conference in the BCS games, then Dabo wouldn't be able to boast his teams accomplishments. USCe won the head to head and if it came to it USCe should have been included over Clemson.

Exactly, the BCS Bowl selection had a built in welfare system. It wasn't like a true playoff system where only the best teams get in. The year clem5on won the ACC, went to the Orange Bowl and was raped by WVU, USC beat clem5on that year and was ranked higher. Then USC beat clem5on again this year and was ranked higher.

Maybe Tennessee should have been in the running too, then.
