Ignores a reporter during the parade to play on his phone. Then proceeds to ignore fans as well:

I guess now that his playing career is over in Athens - he can shed the fake mailman act and display his true character.

Fake mailman act? He’s been pretending that he was a mailman?

While that may be the case, plenty of "fans" deserve exactly that. Just look at the pages of this forum. So many of us love trashing players anonymously, but damn do we hate it when they return the favor even if they put their name behind it.

I could be wrong but I thought numerous folks on here have already confirmed he’s a douchebag in real life?

Nothing but credit to him for the road he took to get to where he is now. That said, he definitely comes across as an arrogant douche now. Not taking away from his abilities or anything, just what he seems like.

1. Fans expecting an athlete to give them attention is weird and sad

2. Stetson is most likely a douche in line with Kyler

I get it, but what good does it do for him? He can easily talk about being doubted, even by the fans, and still celebrate and do it with class.

This is kind of like MJ's HOF speech. He's still the greatest to Dawg fans, but it leaves a sour taste right at the end.

That’s disappointing. He has given me a self-involved vibe for a while. I get it: he has been overlooked and doubted his whole career. He’s got a chip on his shoulder. However, he needs to realize that he is a GOAT in the minds of so many UGA faithful and he shouldn’t tarnish that positive perception by having a bitter attitude.

He’s a douche.

But that’s fine as long as you’re not trying to defense him. It doesn’t reflect on you to root for him and respect what he’s done for the school you love.

Don’t let it leave a sour taste in your mouth. Every athlete isn’t going to be some wildly humble dude who eats sleeps and breathes the school and fanbase.

It is what it is. He’s a punk douche. Not really a big deal unless you’re tripping over yourself to claim he isn’t. Which, you’re not doing.

Yeah, the people were there for him and he basically told them “screw y’all for ever doubting me” as what he was most proud of in his time at UGA. I can see how that would rub people the wrong way in a moment celebrating another national title. Wasn’t really the time and place for that even if he does have some justification for feeling that way. I don’t recall him exuding such a cocky demeanor last year after y’all won but maybe I wasn’t paying attention.

He didn't. Said we were the greatest fans. Has said that a couple of times after interviewing after big games. Maybe this past week he started reading all the crap we posted about him last year and in the offseason before this year. Still though, wish someone would've told him to just put on a good show today and get all that shite out in a book or something.

These guys get paid now not just him. The air of amateurism is gone. It takes no time at all especially when you’re there celebrating with your fan base to interact and be a decent person. If he was trying to eat or have some personal time I get it but not a celebration with the fans.

Even if he did, he needs to realize fans are emotional children, especially fans on twitter, message boards, and call-in shows. I’m sure the fans there to see the parade today think he’s the greatest ever. He’s got a great story. He doesn’t need to let “haters” turn him into an ungrateful a-hole. Brushing off that local reporter just doing her job was unnecessary too. She probably didn’t want to be chasing down a moving car any more than he wanted to be bothered to look up from his phone. But when you take the career path as an entertainer, taking 20 seconds to give a reporter a sound bite comes with the territory.

Watched the whole thing on TV my sister was there with the nephews and we both came away thinking the same thing. He acted like a douche. Damn shame.

Probably the same troglodytes that were saying he would never win a big game or that he shouldnt come back this year.

He earned the right to be a douchebag. Love Stetson!
