Good thing he’s old or he probably couldn’t smoke that stogey legally

The truth is Bennett has terminal cancer and the make a wish foundation got him an invite to New York. It’s the only reasonable explanation.

Leave the football talk to people who understand what garbage time is.

How about a last second dline shift to create a false start?

Here is how it is gained back again.
24/7 Arik Gilbert - 5-star
247 Darnell Washington - 5-star
Our Lads - Georgia 2 Deep

Arik doesn’t play, hardly even dresses out, so including him is a cred losing move.

It is a 2 deep and UGA doesn't run a 2 TE set very often...but he was available to play and has a TD in an SEC game this season. Even if UGA has a single 5-Star TE...their talent at that position is significantly better than UT's...which was the initial point.
ETA...Gilbert has 1 TD this season. UT's TEs have 3 TD receptions total. So I stand by my point...UGA's TEs are significantly better targets for Bennett than UT's for Hooker.

quote:Sure, I'll consider that a gimmick. That isn't what our defense is predicated on, though. The core of the TN offensive scheme is to spread out defenses and then confuse them (or tire them out) with the up-tempo offense. That's their entire offensive plan. The UGA defense shifts a few times a game.

Rylan Goede has more snaps this season than Arik Gilbert. Maybe ourlads isn't current?

Good point...
BTW...Tennessee's highest rated TE on the entire roster (according to 24/7) is 3-star Miles Campbell at 0.8881 (he is a true Freshman that has not seen the field).
Goede is a 4-Star TE rated at 0.9112. As a matter of fact, here are the Georgia Tight Ends rated higher than UT's highest rated TE:
Bowers - 0.9531
Delp - 0.9577
Gilbert - 0.9972
Goede - 0.9112
Washington - 0.9893
That is 5 TEs on their roster rated higher than the highest rated UT TE...so, one might gather that there is a significant talent gap between the two schools at that position...which is the point I was making.

Todd Hartley is our best recruiter. No doubt.
No one at UGA will argue that we lack talent at the tight end position.
We seem to stack TEs and QBs almost every year.

Stetson Bennett = Georgia AJ McCarron

Our weakest spots (in terms of high school ratings) are guards, wide receivers, and DBs.
We recruit elite at LB. But we coach up the 2/3 stars as well.
Tray Scott has been doing a great job pulling in DL. But before him, that was a room full of 3 stars and low 4s.

He did dress for a game. Correct. That doesn’t mean he was a 2 deep player. Knock him off your list if you want your cred back.

Bennett is made better by the players around him. Hooker make players around him better.
