Lindenwood is an awesome little school. They will make noise in the next few years in basketball or baseball. They are the model for a small private school to have success.

They went OVC instead of MVC which will make it a little tougher road.

I don't even think Alaska has a college that is eligible to play in the tournament. They don't have a Division 1 college.

Hawaii, North Dakota, Delaware, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island likely only have one team each in an eligible conference/division.

That makes Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Georgia with lots of eligible teams look even worse.

Rhode Island has had three in before - Brown, Rhode Island and Providence.

Mississippi's likely max is 4.

Alabama could have 6 if the chips fell right. (The four they got this year + Jax State (C-USA) and one of the Sun Belt (Troy/USA)

Tennessee could have 7

Massachusetts could have six - and its the birthplace of basketball!

Meh, UAB and Samford are basketball schools. Honestly, UAB is as much a football school as Villanova is.

Lindenwood also has a pretty good men's volleyball team. One of my sons is currently on a volleyball athletic scholarship to a school Lindenwood played a few weeks ago.

Texas has 6 teams in the Tournament, not 5.
