I started this topic in celebration of Bulldog baseball finally being back. It's taken 5 years for Cohen to resurrect what Polk killed.
Super in 2011
SEC Tourney Title in 2012
Regional Host in 2013
You gotta crawl before you can walk. Recruiting is getting better. We've taken the state back in baseball- now Bianco is starting to feel some heat from the fans. We are working our way up the SEC ladder and ready to start hosting on the reg and make our school an Omaha regular again

We'll see what happens in the SEC Tourney, but I think USCe will get the #3 SEC Host because of a better conference record and better road record.

Who cares about what SEC host number you are..its all about who you're matched up with and who wins that regional.

State has a higher SOS
State has a higher RPI
State won almost as many vs the top 50 as SC played. (19-14 vs 11-12)
The Committee will also see that SC only has a better SEC record because SC played the 3 cripples in the SEC East and State didnt

State has 16 SEC titles in baseball- Polk only won 4 of them
We had also made the Tourney a number of times and made the CWS before Polk arrived

They'll also see an SC team that won the last 2 of 3 national titles and made it to the finals last year. An SC team that has a better looking stadium for TV. And an SC team that lost its 2 best pitchers, its best hitter / 1B, and its legendary head coach from last season and still secured the #4 seed in the toughest conference in college baseball.

Winning the series against Mississippi State isn't much to brag about this season. Half the teams they played did that.

We won 4 SEC titles in 11 years before Polk with 1 CWS appearance, and only 2 in the 11 years after Polk took the job and but did make 2 CWS appearances
State baseball was pretty damn good before Polk
