Now with Mullen, you want him gone? Not sure what your issue is. Is it that he's winning? Is it that he has done alot with very little? Is it that he makes some changes each year to improve the team?
Behold, the rare and wonderful self grind.

oh, I'll get right on that.
or maybe I'll enjoy both boards and just be logical. seems legit.
I'll do the later. thanks for the sage advise

It speaks wonders to what kind of poster you are if you admit that place is your "board of choice". You will be eaten by your own over here.

I doubt it.
At least you can share coondog34's thought with us I guess now since he is forever banned from this place for guaranteeing that state would win no less than 10 games with your best player ever at the helm. So there is that...

I was , as recently as saturday night, called the worst poster someone has ever seen because I wasn't in full melt after a loss to a rival.
thanks for the warm welcome
eta: after yours, I live in reality. I'll probably post as such, most times. depending on alcohol consumption

If Georgia offers Mullen I won't blame him for leaving. If Mullen managed to land himself at a place that basically recruited itself like that he would probably win a National Championship.

Serious question, who would yall get that is better? I know most don't want him to leave but IF he did go to a bigger/better program, I don't see yall upgrading. What he has done at state is nothing short of miraculous.

imo if we ran dan off it would be another stans situation with no actual plan in place.
I cringe.

We will be just fine. Everyone gives all the credit to Dan Mullen for turning this program and our university around and building it into something special. I give most of the credit to Scott our AD. The hires he's made and marketing he has managed has been the REAL reason for the success across the board at this school. I would be hurt much more if he left compared to Mullen. Absolutely no doubt.

Well, first off, there is no way you run him off. That may be the dumbest mistake ever made by an athletic dept. But, if he left for greener pastures, no pun intended, I have serious doubts that state could upgrade looking at what he has done. I could see state bringing in a better recruiter, but not a better coach. They may hit the jackpot though with some young up and comer I suppose.
Would state fans still want hud like they used to claim? He has apt of baggage now and his ull teams have gotten worse.

Yeah, let's not remember Greg Byrne, who started the whole thing and is now gone.
I do think Stricklin is a good Ad though.

I don't really know who we would get. I don't think we could get a known quantity that is better. But I don't really have any idea how attractive the job would be. Obviously it is in way better shape than it was when we hired Mullen...but I am not sure where that puts us.

Since Herman does not look like he is going anywhere my first choice at the moment would be Jeff Brohm at WKU.
Posted on 12/1/15 at 8:23 am to Eric Nies Grind Time
Looks like Herman is waiting on UT or one of the bigger Texas jobs for now. I agree with you on hiring one of the mid-major young guys and taking a chance if Mullen did leave.

First let me say, I like Strickland and what he's doing. But the Ninja hired Mullen and Cohen and Scott hired who for basketball? Scott has had the luxury of a lucrative SEC network deal to work with. He's been given the keys to a cadillac compared to previous AD's.

You dare rob him of his Vic Schaefer hire.
