Nick? no where close Johnny's playmaking ability. He is way more similar to Matt. Watch the highlights of Matt running a zone read or option then watch Nick. Very similar.
It really isn't about play making ability but style of running, I guess it just really comes down to shorter strides except everyone is going to be compared to Matt Jones. I'm of course going to have some bias because I could never watch as much of Fitz as I have of Matt Jones or it would take me a long time to catch up.

and faster.
Ya but everyone has pretty much already agreed with that.
It still wouldn't be my first comparison but I get how people would draw similarities

I think the comparison comes from tall athletic white boys that can out run defenders. Nick is 4.6 where Matt was 4.4.
Matt was a combine verified 4.37. I'd be surprised if Fitzgerald ran anywhere below a 4.55 or maybe even 4.6 Not knocking Fitzgerald, but I think the comparison is silly. They are/were both big tall QBs who could run, but Jones was MUCH MUCH faster. Even if Fitzgerald is a 4.6 guy, the difference in 4.6 speed and 4.37 speed is pretty massive.

It's a distance of approximately 5', after 40 yds

The total distance traveled after 40 yards for a guy who runs a 4.4 and another who runs a 5.0 isn't much different either, but who do you think is going to get further with people chasing after them?
It's about running away from everyone vs. being able to get caught.
Practically no one is catching a guy who runs a 4.37 flat out. There are other players on the football field (usually a good deal) who run in the 4.6 range. That's why it's a big difference. Being able to completely pull away from anyone vs. having other able to catch you. This is why when someone like a RB or receiver runs a sub 4.4, it's considered a huge deal as they have elite "home run ability".

Yes, you are probably correct.
I was just thinking that 12 times 258 is 3,096 yards rushing. 2 times 12 is 24 rushing TDs. 3 times 12 is 36 passing TDs.

Not sure why you're saying this like an insult. Dak Prescott is a really good qb.
You have to understand that your fellow LSU fans don't really have much of a history lately watching QB development.

Fitz is still developing as a passer. His deep ball is his best pass, but he needs to get better.

He's Matt Jones with a stronger arm.
Agree on the arm, but he's nowhere near Matt Jones speed. Jones could outrun All-SEC corners.

I'm not sure who matt jones is. Fitz is fits... He is a faster chris relf. He will dominate some defensive backs. Outrunning them won't be a problem when he runs them over and they struggle to get back up
