Since Mullen got to State he has been trying to increase their "brand." I know it seems beneath SEC schools to play home and homes with these schools. But State is at a disadvantage when it comes to perception. Most other schools, including Ole Miss have a easier road recruiting and get way more notoriety in the media. Now take this weekend's game at USA. There are lots of good players in that area that won't all be able to go to Bama or auburn. There are many young kids going to this game just to see a big time SEC program. It's sellout. That says slot. It's USAs first sellout ever. Hopefully these kids will look back and remember when they saw Dak Prescott play. Or Chris Jones. They may instantly become bulldog fans. STATE IS already getting more out of state recruits. It could already be paying dividends. State benefits from more exposure in areas where they are fairly unknown. Recruits most common surprise when visiting State is the level of facilities compared to what their perception was. It's a brilliant strategy for State. And there are really no negatives.

Baseball is a big 3 sport in the South.

Keep in mind, that MSU was in the national championship game in baseball a couple years ago. The new ballpark is impressive.

Shut up. You are making way too much sense for a small SEC school. How dare you? Schedule Oregon, dumbass!

College Baseball is in no way considered to be in thensame grouping as football and basketball. I'd give it the following rankings:

Football - 2
Basketball - 1
Baseball .5

And that's being generous.

I agree football is hands down #1. All I am saying is baseball is a Big 3 sport in the south.

SEC teams have 7 teams in the top 10 in baseball attendance. In basketball, the SEC has 3 teams in top 25 for attendance. This is partly due to baseball having more games but LSU, Ole Miss, & MSU average more fans per game for baseball than basketball. Hell half the teams in the SEC have more people at baseball games than basketball in total attendance.

Baseball is Big 3.

Baseball is not big 3. It's big 1 plus basketball and then baseball which is a distant 3rd.

I agree with your earlier comment. At Tennessee, baseball is actually not big 3. It is right behind football, basketball, and women's basketball.

You arguing baseball is big 3 would be like me arguing women.s basketball is big 3. Ut draws more attendance for womens basketball than most sec baseball schools.
