2/3 votes by presidents of member universities. Anyone can be removed. All it takes is 9 votes to remove

SEC would lose a lot of money to lose Mizzou or any other team. This would kick off immediate renegotiations on TV contracts at a time when cable subscriptions are dropping like flies. Did you miss the part where ESPN had to layoff a big chunk of their staff?
