Then why the frick weren't you concerned about balancing the schedules when UT was beating Bama's arse every year?

I wasn't aware it gave another SEC West team playing an overall easier schedule an advantage in the SEC race.

BTW, you sound like a Democrat - "well, Bush did it..."

Not true. I was bitching long before that. There were several 2-3 way ties in the SEC west that sent Bama or auburn to the SEC championship with an easier schedule. Its just now getting some traction recently because of the NC's.

And people think Bama fans are delusional.

I saw another LSU nut yesterday thinking that there were all these ties in the SEC West where Bama won the tie-breaker.

I had to inform him that a tie for 2nd/3rd place (ie. 2012 with LSU/A&M both having 6-2 conference records) has nothing to do with the CCG.

How can so many within the fanbase think that they win the division every year and just miss out on the CCG based upon a technicality?

It's only been 6 straight against UT. It's quite easy to remember because if we win this season, it will match the 7 straight that they beat us during the Fulmer years. Those were rough years. I don't remember anyone bitching about scheduling then but UT was a powerhouse and Bama was a cupcake.

Fulmer fricked our program over royally and put Bama through the worst period in their history. I hate those motherfrickers with a passion.

No one wanted to end the rivalry when they were dominating and we were getting our shite kicked in. You can understand why we don't wanna end the rivalry just because the shoe's on the other foot.

Because you motherfrickers cheated AGAIN! Added CAPS since you like them so much!

...and their buddy scheduling in the SEC office who overtly took advantage of cross divisional rotations in favor of Bama last season, this season, and still waiting 2014, 15 brings. That really added to this and made more people vocal about it.

Up until 2002 it didn't matter as much because everyone was playing 3 of the 6 cross-divisional teams with 2 permanents. Now that we are down to 2 games from the other division out of 7, the imbalances in scheduling is much more apparent and frequent.

Something these people will not acknowledge.

Who cares?

Why should the other 12 schools football schedules have to revolve around you two?

Because they are entitled brats, just like Notre Dame, the PAC and Big 10 with the Rose Bowl, and Texas demanding special treatment in the Big 12 or any conference they go to. They are just as bad.

Well He should be beaten...lol. I don;t recall all these tie breakers off the top of my head. I do know for a while the winner of the Auburn LSU game usually won the division. Now I guess the winner of Bama LSU game, but don't know about all these 3 way ties. A 2 way tie simply comes down to which team beat the other.

However, it is getting traction due to the bridge scheduling crap, 14 teams...and yes I'll admit part of it is BAMA's recent success...which makes this bridge scheduling even more ridiculous...should be criminal.

Way too much is being made of Bama/UT. Huge rivalry and should be preserved, but even as a Bama fan and AU hater the AU/UGA rivalry should never be broken.

Have some respect for history people! They have missed like one year (WWII) in that series since 1898. They have played in multiple cities, through the great depression, 2 world wars and 116 times in total. After 116 games and series is TIED. Diminishing the meaning of then game (OOC, when it isn't) or playing it 2 of 7 years should never be an option.

Five years from now OBC will be retired and Miles will be gone.

The TSIO will still be played

South Carolina's permanent opponent is Arkansas, what's he bitching about?

Even with 2 rotating schedules can be imbalanced.

South Carolina blew a game against a crummy Auburn team in 2011 to lose the East and lost to LSU last year.

Both Auburn and LSU were their rotating opponent.

You must have not read the article.

Miles will be gone.

I'm assuming you mean fired since you didn't say retired. Miles is the winningest coach in LSU history. He's going to be around for a long time.

9 conference games is coming before the permanent opponents are scrapped.

You'll get your 2 rotating opponents soon enough, but it will be 6-1-2.

Then AU should be moved to the East. I miss playing them as well because we had a long series with them that was no longer annual after 02.

Yup. Auburn and Bama go to the East and we never have to hear about cross-division rivals again.

Tradition is restored.

Let's play some football.

The bitching started when Bama got really good and started beating everyone; especially LSU who feels like Alabama has taken their place and the power in the West.

Your argument is irrevent, but you are wrong about this too.

Les Miles was complaining about the unfairness of the permanent opponent rule back in 2006, when Bama was a 2nd. tier program.
