Great analysis and explanation of your point, dumbass. LSU fans: “I don’t agree with you so you’re stupid.”

I can’t take you seriously.

Well said. That's how I can tell a lot of these "fans" are new to the sport and new to life.

In his time at UF no SEC coach one more than one. I realize you must be new to watching football (probably started around, oh, 2021) but the SEC was not there same back then.

Everything in the '90s seemed Larger than Life so if you won one thing it seemed like you won a million things. But at the end of the day Steve Spurrier is equivalent to les miles

So there weren’t any elite coaches back then in the SEC. Got it.

This thread is a sad and weak attempt to seek recognition.

If you didn’t exist on this board more folks would have been congratulatory towards the actual Georgia fans and their program.

Moron, nobody is saying he isn’t a good coach.

This is what you are implying.

Spurrier > Kirby.
Kirby is playing by different rules, a$$embling team$ like Alabama isn’t great coaching. It’s great general management. Spurrier is a great coach.

Plus, Smart has that douchey frat cut.

Why are UGA fans still starving for attention?

Because the average fan maxed out in high school and their self-worth is completely tied up in how UGA performs.

Kirby already has more Nattys than Spurrier after 7 years of coaching. By the time he retires he will have more SEC Championships. Kirby has to do this in the era of Saban, the greatest coach of all time. Kirby has to do this in an era where you have to recruit your own players every year. After it is all said and done, Kirby will definitely go down as a better coach than Spurrier. And it won’t be close.

1) Heisman winner
2) Dominated the SEC for about a decade
3) Revolutionized SEC offensively
4) Very colorful personality
5) Won a natty
6) Brought unprecedented success to USCe.

I don’t think anyone is putting him on Saban or Bryant’s level, but he’s definitely one of the most iconic coaches in SEC history.

I’d wager he would have had another title if he coached in the playoff era.

I doubt it.

Outside of the year he won it (1996), probably his next best teams (1995, 2001) competed the same year as two of the greatest of all time.

Although I think UF was the best team in 1996 and the deserving champion, they were very lucky the stars aligned after losing in Tallahassee. He’s pretty fortunate to have the one title he does have.

Now Bowden, on the other hand, would have had a better chance at increasing his national titles if they playoff had existed from 1987-2000.

But I don’t know. There were a hell of a lot of good teams back then and some of FSU’s best teams aligned with years that the playoff contenders would have been quite strong.

He was pretty great at calling plays even till his last days at south carolina. Also had some good defenses too.
