Yep and both teams brought in top 10 DCs, both teams have perceived good QBs (Allen has beaten Auburn, WVU, and came within 7 of Mizzu and was very good statically). TAMU had Garrett, Auburn has Lawson. One team will try to incorporate more running, the other more passing.

IMO, this Auburn ranking 1 or 2 in the SEC West, winning the SEC, and a playoff team, then ranking TAMU 5th or 6th in the West more times than not, doesn't make sense. Seems like a shite ton of media bias and hype for one team.

idc about our projections nearly as much as how badly overrated auburn is. Gonna be a fun season.

Begs the question: Why do you care about Auburn being badly overrated?

Spurrier has a point here. Auburn was 8-5, and could have very well lost to South Carolina if not for a couple of bone head interceptions by the 2 star QB Dylan Thompson. Auburn was manhandled by an above average Mississippi State team, a supposedly inferior Texas A&M team, blown out by Georgia and Alabama, then a poor bowl performance. Auburn's top ten ranking was grandfathered by the luck of getting to the title game the year before, and the spanking of a vastly over-rated LSU team. Looking back at how the SEC west was embarrassed in their bowl games, to go 8-5 in that schedule is pretty mediocre.

Yeah, those rankings were real accurate....

LSU a top ten team last year.....lost to Notre freaking Dame
Mississipp State....that lost to Georgia Tech by two touchdowns
The Ole Miss team that got their doors blown off by TCU....

Keep bragging....

Yeah, and getting punked by Spurrier & Muschamp is the reason why Mizzou went to Atlanta and you sat at home.

And you care so much about Auburn's preseason predictions and/or hype, why exactly? We don't give two shites about your team's anything.

The classic ropa dope spurrier. Get a coach with twice the school enrollment and who is dumping millions apon millions into the program to dick ride a school named after a small town in front of all of SEC nation. Spurrier is a God.

They're jealous. When they first joined the SEC there was a bunch of talk from the Aggies about how they thought they were Auburn's equal, could compete on a similar level to us, and possibly even "take our place" in the west. They've been lucky enough to get their hopes 2/3 years by beating our worst team ever with their GOAT player and then the fluke play of all fluke plays last season. And despite that the media still knows who the superior team/ program is and it kills them inside.
