That was a big win. Though not the NU of the 90's it's a storied program (like Buckeyes) that USC has beaten in bowl games. I think it's great.

"Cant spell Citrus without UT"... that was my favorite. I had not heard the AU one before. Cute.

Steven Orr Spurrier is a a hoot. Bless his heart.

I guess if he ever gets USCe up to being "invincible" like it seemed some of his UF teams were, then he will go back to being a dick, bu for now he is great for a laugh.

He has talked very, very little shite since being here, and this year for some reason he is just lightening it up with his "Spurrierisms". Give me hope for exactly what kind of team we're fielding this year if he has that "swag" back enough to make the quips he's been making, ya know?

Truer words have never been spoken. I think the man seriously belongs in whatever class below special ed is available..or he could don a cheerleading uniform cause that's really all he is...a glorified cheerleader who promises alot and delivers very, very, very little!

Spurrier is smart. Does kind of make you wonder if he knows something others don't. I noticed he's made a few more quips of late also. I liked the one where he suggested for Saban to really prove himself he must win a NC at a mid-tier team. Half-joking I think, but just his small part to get rid of the competition.

He also recently said, when asked if this was one of the best teams he had ever coached (yes, even including Florida), that it was right up there in the very top. He has never made that ambitious of a statement about our team...especially when we are still this far out of the actual season..until now.

Too bad the Citrus Bowl is now the Capital One Bowl. I'm sure lots of people were dying to use the line "can't spell citrus without USC.

Coach Spurrier is hilarious. I do hope y'all lose in Baton Rouge this year, but I do like your coach. Great sense of humor.

He will never recruit a QB to USCe that was the caliber of the ones that were 3 deep at Florida.

True but to Coach Spurriers' credit he's adapted his system to the talent available.

Spurrier has a long history of this kind of thing. And he's done more than enough in his time as a coach to be able to talk shite.

Spurrier will have a top ten this year and if he beats UGA he will be top 5. Book it.

Funny when Spurrier does this it's "funny" but if Mullen does it then he is a douche.

Something tells me you really don't find it funny at all.

Cool..I cheered for the Barnwell Warhorses in SC so I suppose some of exposure to Warhorses must have worn off and me any my fellow cheerleaders. Can't please everybody and damn if I'll try to.

He's got one he's recruiting for 2013..supposed to be out of NJ if I remember correctly. Coach sent him a handwritten letter and told him if he would come to SC to play for him, he would personally guarantee him that he would NOT retire until this young man was finished with his college career.

No way buddy, USC is only behind Ole Miss when it comes to the ladies.

I love how people say the game is passing Spurrier by when he just had the best season ever at one of the crappiest programs of all time. Some of the decisions he makes and some of his clock issues piss me off..but I wouldnt trade him for anybody else out there right now.
