A lot of Spurrier's soundbites are taken out of context. Don't get me wrong, the man loves to talk a bit of trash, but he also tends to tell it like it is if you read his entire quote.

I like Coach Spurrier at South Carolina, but did not like Coach Spurrier at Florida, for obvious reasons of course....lol

it was terrible b/c he actually lost the Florida game and Georgia game too. that gurley touchdown called back was the worse call in college football history.

SC schedule looks brutal this year and they'll be breaking in a new qb. oy

#soybeanwind.

I do agree with you about next year though. Rough schedule, God knows who our QB is going to be. It could be another long year, but we'll see.

Spurrier is using being in SEC as an excuse for last year's record but he lost to 3 teams in the SEC east including Tenn and KY, not exactly powerhouses and missouri could hardly score at all last year.

tell me where i am wrong. didn't he say being 7-6 in the sec is decent? Is that true with losses to KY and TN and a Mizz team that struggled to score?

he basically acts like he was in the SEC west and lost to bama, auburn, miss st last year.

this reminds me of how he bragged about SC being ranked no. 4 in the last poll of the season two years ago, despite fact they lost to TN that year, and played the two worse teams in the SEC west. this guy always tries to get that SEC credit even when he avoided most of the good SEC teams and lost to some of the struggling programs.
