Auburn fans can’t handle that Kiffin told them no

I sure wish he would've said that in clearer terms a few weeks ago. Maybe we would've played better against Arkansas and Schtate.

That's BS. Cohen never wanted him. It was the boosters that did. He never had an offer.

His agent’s job is to make him as much $ as possible. Sexton is good at his job.

Interesting. Here’s another article that says the same thing:

quote:

Auburn missed in in its effort to land Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin as the replacement.

Yikes

many of us told barn fans there was zero chance Kiffin would take the job but at least they're dedicated in their delusions

And yet another one here:

quote:

Unlike Matt Rhule at Nebraska, however, it appears Freeze was not the first coach Auburn preferred to take over the program. That would be Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin

I told a Barner friend of mine last night that they were setting their sights too high, that realistically it was no more than the fifth or sixth best job in the conference regardless of the facilities and tradition, and that throwing money at people can’t erase the underlying toxicity there that’s gonna scare top-echelon candidates off.

Why so much laughter from Ole Miss when you just agreed to a grossly overpaid extension for a mediocre coach?

He didn't just tell them 'no', he played them. He played their asses and got a huge paycheck from Ole Miss, and that's exactly what I said was going to happen the whole time.

Oh he played somebody. Not so sure it was just Auburn though.

Textbook Jimmy Sexton. Now they have their 2017 Gus Malzahn...without the SEC Championship of course.

Everyone with an Aubie tail hanging out of their trunk had a source telling them Lane was heading to Auburn last week. Now he never got an offer.
