had to do with the fact that the kicker took off running.
If this was true, we have to go back in time and point out that about 50% of the fake field goals every attempted are bad calls by officials.
The melt by the gator fans trying to make up rules is really weird.

If this was true,

The rule doesnt seem to stipulate forward, lateral or reverse pass.
There is no such thing as a backwards, or sideways, pass. Those are laterals.

Les just being Les. It was a great play. UF should have seen it coming.
I hope K Smart takes notice.

He certainly seems to have a knack for upsetting LSU fans. I can't believe they continue to fall for it.
His original thread was what, 11 pages? Now this thread in response to his thread.
Come over here LSUers. I'll help you.

What part of the quoted rule that makes an exception that says the player is not down if his knee is on the ground in a fake field goal and may pass the ball is beyond comprehension? The exception is rather straight forward and not hard to understand. Can you find a single instance where a ref has blown a play dead because the snapper's knee was down when he threw the ball?

You need to tell the LSU fans about these rules you have found because many has the sadz because they think the play was blatant cheating.

I was glad LSU won, it bodes better for Alabama that they play an undefeated LSU team. However, you're failing to comprehend the rule as stated -
He started running to the left before the ball was snapped. So a flag should have been thrown.
I'm a strong proponent of if a ref missed a call then he missed a call and don't whine about, its part of the game. I'm only pointing out the fallacy of your statement that the play was legal.

If he started running before the snap was thrown it is still a legal play because he was in motion paralel to the line and in no way shape or form was he out of kicking position before the snap occurred. He was maybe 5 inches from kicking stance
