It was so bad
Went in knowing we'd blow them out. And Ginn getting a TD on the first touch of the game only reinforced that. Then 2 seconds later my life went to shite.

USC 55 - Oklahoma 19
And OU was up 7-0, lol. I was at the game. By halftime, many fellow OU fans were exiting trying to avoid stupid questions form the spouses.

quote:I drove down from Tuscaloosa for that one. They were both undefeated and playing for the national championship. It was like watching men playing boys and I truly believe that Nebraska team may be the best college football team ever assembled. The only team that stayed on the field with them that year was a great Oklahoma (#2 nationally) team.

Don't talk to me about losses to Florida
Tennessee lost to Florida in the 1969 Gator Bowl...then lost their coach to Florida 3 days later.

The 1972 Orange Bowl (following the 1971 season). The AP title was on the line and Nebraska beat us 38-6.

Losing to tOSU in the Sugar Bowl
Frick Petrino for his shitty defense and Mallett for the int.

35-3 loss to Michigan in 1992 was worse in my opinion. In that peach bowl we were playing arguably the best team in the country with our second string offense.

I was 7 in the Michigan game so I didn't hurt because of it

The 34-7 loss to Louisville in the Fiesta bowl at the end of the 1990 season was by far the worst.
Our lone TD came on an INT return. They absolutely dominated the hell out of us the entire game on both sides of the ball, could have easily been 50-0.
We really had no business even being in that game, they were a great team that year and we were barely mediocre that year at best.
There were no stakes or anything, but Alabama very rarely gets blown out and that was an absolute doozy.
The 1998 bowl game against Va. Tech was at least somewhat competitive for the 1st half, before they blew it open bad in the 2nd.
