Oh no doubt

Noil's next chance at working in LA would be as a DB coach for SE. DBs don't need hands

Every QB you've had since coming to the SEC was a better QB than the vast majority of the SEC. Certainly LSU. Unfortunately Rumlin lacks any ability to control egos and most likely made numerous false promises.

I am a product of the times.

Who?

Kenny Trill sucked at TCU, so he wasn't the answer.

Kyle Allen couldn't play well enough to keep Murray on the bench.

Murray couldn't play well enough to keep the starting job when handed it.

We haven't had a truly good QB at being a normal QB since Tannehill left (JFF was only good at backyard football).

NFL has better drugs.

Maybe some NFL team is stupid enough to hire Sumilin and he can put a no drug testing policy in place and draft Speedy.

His release was far too slow, and he didn't have the moxy to put games on his back.

If we could take T Knight's attitude and shove it into Kyler Murray's body he would have been a HOF QB, but that wasn't the case.

I acknowledge that he appeared mentally weak, although none of us know the whole story with Murray. It is still silly to say you guys didn't have any "solid" QBs. Johnny spoiled you I guess.

All that is fine and dandy, but almost all of those QBs are still currently good enough to start for most SEC programs. LSU would love to have Kyle Allen, and would immediately be a contender to win the SEC with him.

The QB excuse for Noil is insane. Y'all get 5 star QBs every single year

Meh, we had two NFL QBs not that long before JFF came around.

By "every quarterback", I assume you mean Johnny Manziel, since he's the only SOLID quarterback A&M has had under Kevin Sumlin.

If you're talking 2014-2016:

Alabama - Blake Sims > Hill and Allen
Alabama - Jacob Coker > Allen, Murray, and Hubenak
Alabama - Jalen Hurts > Knight and Hubenak
Arkansas - Brandon Allen > Hill and Allen
Arkansas - Brandon Allen > Allen, Murray, and Hubenak
Arkansas - Austin Allen > Knight and Hubenak
Auburn - Nick Marshall > Hill and Allen
Florida - Will Grier > Allen and Hubenak
Kentucky - Towles > Hill and Allen
Mississippi State - Prescott > Hill, Allen, Murray and Hubenak
Mississippi State - Fitzgerald > Knight and Hubenak
Ole Miss - Wallace > Hill and Allen
Ole Miss - Kelly > Allen, Murray, Knight and Hubenak
Ole Miss - Patterson > Knight and Hubenak
Missouri - Mauk > Hill and Allen
Missouri - Lock > Allen, Hill, and Hubenak
South Carolina - Thompson > Hill and Allen
South Carolina - Bentley > Hubenak
Tennessee - Dobbs > Hill, Allen, Murray, and Hubenak

Looks like a majority of the SEC has had better QBs than A&M since Manziel left.

A&M has had 3 5-star QBs in its entire history.

Reggie McNeal (2002)
Kyle Allen (2014)
Kyler Murray (2015)

McNeal was classified as an "Athlete" when he signed.

Ok, still doesn't change the fact that you have had "solid" QBs while Noil was around. You did lack long term consistency at that position but I don't think that is all of the QBs.

Jesus, Allen was better than MANY QBs you listed. Nick Marshall shouldn't make anyone's list. You're clearly butthurt over Allen in particular, who actually is a very talented QB.

Right and coaching had nothing to do with that?

Look at Brandon pre-Enos as one example

you keep taking hyperbole and assuming it's meant as a fact. It's unbecoming. You know what I meant. TAMU is known to recruit well at QB since you've been in the SEC. Direct your chappededness to Rumlin, who is the real problem. Allen may have been a drama queen, but drama queens can be handled and brought back down to earth with a real coach.

I guess it depends on what you mean by solid.

For example, I don't think T Knight was a solid QB either. Solid guy though.

He was a solid QB but not a solid thrower imo.
