Got hooked on Bama with the 91-92 Title team. Whole family is from BHam but I grew up in Ohio. Jumped on the Bama bandwagon then and have never jumped off

Hmmmm I remember just being an Auburn fan growing up. Can't really remember why I picked Auburn at the time, I think it was because Auburn was the underdogs at the time. But anyway I really started paying attention once I started playing football in Jr High in the 8th grade. Then the 2004 season during my sophomore year and that pretty much kicked my interest into high gear.

10 years ago I moved to the Bham area-Hoover from Mobile. I was absolutely amazed how consumed people were here with College Football. CFB is big on the Gulf Coast but I have never lived in a town with a Local Sports Radio Station devoted to CFB 24/7 365 94.5 WJOX .

The fandom and the Alabama Vs. Auburn rivalry was ten times bigger here than on the Gulf Coast. I grew up as an Alabama Fan but became a die hard around 2002. Those years of watching Bama struggle and AU beating us 6 years in a row just really solidified my inner Bammer.

2008 was the best season for me. Watching Bama finally regain national respect and attention made all of those down years worth being a fan.

I never really watched CFB till 93. I watched and enjoyed but never had a team because I lived in Georgia and didn't like state teams that much. Moved to Florida in 95...watched but was more into the NFL and the Bucs. Then, I went to a game my mom got tickets for from a coworker. Just so happened it was in 97, vs FSU.

So basically my first ever trip to a CFB game, was the Swamp, during the greatest game ever played in the swamp. Needless to say, I have never and will never look back. Easily the most memorable night of my life. First time with a girl was in the morning, so that can't count :P.

The scam in 8th grade was to get someone else to take up your lunch tray. If you were stuck taking a tray u would take a pretty girl's tray with yours. I bet a good friend of mine (another fellow Bama fan) on the Miami sugar bowl. Loser had to take up the other guys tray the REST OF THE YEAR....

Best bet with the hugest stakes of my entire life

On SEC football and your favorite team.
For me,I was 7 y/o in 1965 and started betting my lunch money on bama who was on a great run. I still say we got robbed in 1966 being undefeated. Course, Auburn can make the same claim now can't they? Had a classmate who was an aubie, and it started from there. There is NOTHING better than SEC football and we're basically a month away. May the fun begin

Cousin played basketball at LSU, went down there in 1995, loved the campus. The day I was down there LSU was playing at TAMU. I also went there for a semester. Now getting Master's from Mizzou, don't really need it. Might just get 2nd bachelors it'd be a lot cheaper and easier.lol. Love to study, keeps me busy, plus I want my daughter to go to Mizzou years from now. It'll look better for her having a parent that made good grades and have connections to Mizzou. That's why you see me supporting Mizzou. Don't know much about their athletic history but loved what their athletes did for this area after the Tornado. Each dept sent a group of athletes down to help build a House/clean up, very classy.

I was hooked on baseball first but LSU-UF '97 changed all that. I was 11 and remember that game like it was last season.

I don't know what got me hooked, but I've been going to games since I was 5 in 1992. My dad had and has season tickets. However, I have watched fewer and fewer football games each of the last 5 years and I expect that to continue this year.

Well between the fact that a pretty large portion of my immediate family graduated from Auburn, and us having the same seats in JH for over fifty years I'm not sure I had much of a chance. Between 2003 and 2012 I only missed two home football games.

I grew up in a small town and listened to the LSU games on radio with my dad. He took me to the 1972 Ole Miss game and I never made it back until I signed to play baseball at LSU. For 28 years now, I have been going to LSU games and have been to OhioSt/Mich, FSU/Florida and others. Nothing like college football.

My daughter has been going with me since 4. Her first game was Georgia game in 2003. Now her college choice is down to LSU and Georgia.

My family all went to OM, but my parents weren't avid sports followers. It wasn't until my sister became a rebelette, and I was spending tailgating sessions in the grove looking up at some of the most beautiful women I had ever seen at the rebelette tent. I was only 11 or so at the time so they thought I was adorable as hell. I was hooked.
