You do realize the same kind of stuff happened at South Carolina just a few months ago?
Both schools have buildings named after people who were racist as do many schools in the south
Is an unfortunate part of southern history, doesn't mean you shout racist at every turn

my screenname is based on the building, one of the iconic symbols of the university.
the banana thing at Clemson was a hoax by black students. the university refused to release then names of the students to cover it up.

Wait is Clemson the racist university in South Carolina? I thought USC was the Ole Miss of South Carolina.

Tillman helped start an agricultural college in SC. it isn't praise for his racist views, but fact he helped found the college.
do you complain about UVA's campus being a monument to Thomas Jefferson? Jefferson owned slaves.
for the record, I am not opposed to Clemson changing Tillman's name, maybe back to Old Main, or something else.
