South Carolina to only allow clear bags into athletic events starting this year

USC’s Athletics Department encourages fans to not bring any type of bag to games, but understands that there are some who prefer to do so. Fans will continue to be able to carry items such as binoculars, cameras and smart phones.
Approved Bags
? Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” A logo no larger than 4.5” x 3.4” can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
? One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
? Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” – approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
? Medically necessary items (after proper inspection at specified gates)

Just to be clear exactly what the Auburn "BAG" policy is, this new poster was just released by the Barn. I find it does clarify the intent of the original notice.

The intent, of course, is to stop beverages and food items from entering a stadium.
There has never been a single instance of actual harm.

They had a similar policy at the Alabama/Wisconsin game in Dallas last year. They were turning people away at the gate for illegal purses.
