As it should. That's the only way Joe Fan can have an impact on ticket prices. It's getting out of hand. You can't get a ticket for UGA/ND for less than $850 right now.

Thats a head scratcher because we travel well and to many of our fans this game is a rivalry right up there with Clemson.
I dont know whats up with that weekend but it damn sure isnt the cost ($50) of a ticket. Most of your road warrior fans are the fat cats anyway.
I can tell ever since Tanner hired Boom to be head coach their hasnt been very much excitement towards the program. Their is still a lot of doubt, recruiting isnt going so well and then right up the road you have Clemson winning the National Championship and pulling in 4* and 5* recruits everyday.

I don't think you proved the point here....The point is, there is a HUUUUGE demand for these tickets that have driven up the price, NOT the athletic departments.

Hatred? Your team returned almost half their 8,000 ticket allotment.....
These 2 things have nothing to do with each other. You said we were pieces of shite. I asked why you think that.

In all seriousness though, I'm sure USC will have plenty of fans at the game. Also look for this to happen more often with ridiculous ticket prices.
A combination of this and what GC22 said. I have no idea what obligations I may have for that day right now. I do know I got my Season Tickets. I also know that if I do decide to go that chances are I won't pay anymore than what is being asked right now. Furthermore, upon reflection, I don't know that I've ever bought away tickets through the USC ticket office.

There's exponentially more excitement compared to what there was to begin with. I was one of the doubters at first but I've come around and believe wholeheartedly that Boom is going in the right direction. Our players absolutely are excited and will tell you so. They believe in him and they believe in themselves once again. Not sure why you say recruiting isn't going well...it's actually going very well and if you compare and contrast to where we were just a year ago (especially if you go back 2-3 years) then it is completely realistic to say that recruiting is going extremely well. Those assholes in the northern part of the state and their success is somewhat deflating, though...I definitely agree with that. I think it drives our guys though...it doesn't affect them in the same way that it does us as fans.

You do realize that, monetarily, it doesn't matter who sells those tickets. UGA is going to get what they were going to get in the first place as will USC. I would have thought that Vandy would have taught you that it doesn't matter how many fans you have in Sanford, you can still lose.

I don't even know where to begin with this pie-in-the-sky post, but we can start with
If you think a class of 16 3* and everyone else's leftovers is going very well, you're going to have a bad time. That won't cut it against the competition y'all have to play week in and week out.
24-7 Composite
I guess that's why they cried about being called names, the timeouts, the no-handshake, the general arse-beating, etc. "We're going to get our get-back." That's pretty intimidating.

I think what she is referring to is how are class stacks up with our historical classes. Even when we signed #1 RB in the Nation Marcus Lattimore our class was ranked in the 20s. Even when we signed #1 overall Clowney our class was in the 20s. In fact our highest class ever was ranked #14 and we had to sign 30+ kids and have double digit blue chippers in the state of SC to get that.

I'm still figuring out what games I'll be able to attend in the first half of the season. It would be a no-brainer that I'd be in Athens if this game was in September or early October.
Also, I'm pretty sure UGA returned a hefty amount of tickets for our game in October of 2012, yet that turned out to be a sell-out. Our fans will be in attendance for this one.
Besides, looking at UK's schedule for the year, South Carolina and UGA are their only attractive away games - it's not surprising they're traveling to Athens.

College Stations is the new athens. I will be using my PTO to go there instead.

UGA just raised their ticket prices this season to $50 per ticket for every seat (excluding club/sky) to every game.
That's it? Probably the cheapest ticket in the SEC if true

Yup, 4 years ago, they were $40, they raised it $5 every other year til 2017 where it's $50. They have not announced another increase. Just an increase in the minimum donation needed to get the tickets, which we've sold out season tickets again....
I think it's great. Focus on the fans, experience, recruiting and not worry about expanding seating and raising prices. Increase the donations needed to buy season tickets and the "Joe blow fan" can still get cheap arse tickets on secondary market to the shite OOC games to see a game in Sanford stadium.

I've been to Athens twice, that's more than enough for me.
