USC returns 3,500 tickets of their 8,000 allotment. Don't want to drive 2 hours to see their team get embarrassed. Kentucky only returned 1,500!!

This is surprising. They have a good QB and a talented DC as head coach. UGA is notorious for bed shitting. I penciled this game as one to watch out for for UGA this year.

I mean its Athens as well so even if you lose, you win

When your coach is Muschamp and you've averaged just over 5 wins a season over the last 3 seasons, why would your fan base travel?

Travel? They probably have more fans (outside of students) that live closer to Athens, GA then Columbia. Also, embarrassing a team can only muster 4,500 seats against a division opponent. One that notoriously shits the bed in 1 or 2 games a year they should win. They could play spoiler in the East, but their fans don't want to watch. Hahaha.

Ya know, if this had been a decade ago we would have sold every one of them, or at least the majority of them. This is the fanbase that sold out every home game when we went 0-21. Unfortunately, I think it speaks more to the state of these kids now days than anything. They don't have the same mindset that the older fans and alumni do. If we're in the middle of a winning streak like we were with Spurrier they will be there. But let times get hard and they bail. Sucks but it is what it is....and what it is, is embarrassing.

Why do I have to decide before at the end of July if I am going to a game on November 4th?

Kentucky is now a football school, and USC is a basketball school now.

In all seriousness though, I'm sure USC will have plenty of fans at the game. Also look for this to happen more often with ridiculous ticket prices.

It seems like the fans would also get into the whole angle of former teammates' teams going head to head since Muschamp and Smart played at Georgia together and are still close friends today. Seems like that would make this game even more fun bc of the possibilities there.

I'm of the opinion that Athens lost it cool sometime around when REM broke up....

UGA just raised their ticket prices this season to $50 per ticket for every seat (excluding club/sky) to every game.

UGA has done a good job of keeping ticket prices very very reasonable. They have been able to increase AD profit, improve facilities, and build a $32M IPF without gouging their fanbase.

They have also canceled any plans for additional capacity, but instead focus on improvements for fans, players and recruits.

I hate our AD direction right now in regards to all of our sports, but they are certainly doing this right for football. Wish we would take the same approach to baseball and basketball.

You seem to have a deep hatred of South Carolina fans. Please share why.

Well said again. It's unbelievable. This game could be a storyline in the making. We don't play until AFTER the cocktail party this year. UGA could be a top 5 team in the country by then, coming off a HUGE rivalry game that should determine the EAST. It is a trap game with an awesome headline potential due to their history playing together.....
