Then what is your point? Because no one is seeking validation. They're just commenting on the media spin regarding Kentucky playing close games vs. the spin when Virginia does against a similar quality opponent.

Is your bitching about that comment an attempt to validate Kansas getting massacred by UK? See how that works?

Good teams often struggle with weaker opponents. It happens a lot in basketball. It is some how a flaw of this Kentucky team, but gets overlooked when discussing these other "championship caliber" teams.

I have no worries whatsoever about Virginia. As UK goes to the tournament, it's teams that can score and are efficient offensively that worry me. Duke, Gonzaga, Wisconsin probably the top 3 I don't want to play until as late as possible.

What you just described IS being insecure. And again, no reason to be.

And no I'm not sure how that works since I am not in any way talking about Kansas and haven't mentioned them at all. Knew it wouldn't take long for you to do so though.

Looks like the Gamecock posters abandoned this thread quickly.

We're all like, "frick it..we're winning the baseball game. We'll concentrate on that and forget the basketball/Blackshear woes."

Alright UK folks. No more commenting on anyone other than UK or the media spin or anything else. Rant rules says it's insecurity now. Don't want a mess from the massive bleeding over it.

No worries. I wouldn't want to hang around with a bunch of other fanbases crying about "OMG KENTUCKY IS TOO GOOD" or something.

It's a flaw of the Kentucky team because it's the story line. They get talked about the most so you hear about it the most. If you get all the media attention (fairly), there has to be shite to talk about. Also, it's not Kentuckys fault, but the conference is not giving them good teams to play, so the story line gets magnified.

There is no chance during conference play to silence the chatter by beating duke or notre dame or whoever. Every game is a "weak" opponent so it's a talking point.

ETA: someone is serially down voting y'all so I just upvoted everyone to show I'm not a petty fricker doing that

Oh, we all knew this game was going to be ugly. Foregone conclusion. Hey, at least we can still cling to women's bball.

Then feel free to explain to us the agenda of "How will Coach Cal handle the egos of those All-Americans" when Coach K has just as many? And now has losses and inconsistency to go with it?

The point is it's sexier to cry about Kentucky in the media. It's why we'll also have a rash of negative articles about Cal's HoF nomination too.

The SEC has 6 tournament teams right now according to Lunardi. 10 teams in the top 60 of Ken Pomeroy's rankings.

They are beating a team by 40 that beat Iowa State.

That was one helluva loss. When we lose, we lose big!! Yay us!

Congrats on the win, Kentucky!

Oh, and Belle...I hate UCONN. Bunch of insufferable yankees.
