No coach is going to leave a school he's been at twenty plus years without the approval of his family. At least not a coach that is a decent man. Sounds like the family said no, not Drew

It’s gotten much better over the last several years. They’ve pumped $8 Billion, billion with a B, into that place. It’s coming along.

You’re so insecure about your new coach that you need this narrative that Kentucky is in shambles to feel good about it.

That says more about you than it does us.

Keep that chin up. I'm sure there's a good mid-major coach that'll be interested.

You realize Rick Pitino was the 3rd person offered the job back in the 90s. It happens.

I have a feeling we end up with Billy Donovan. He will be the 3rd person offered.

Cal wasn’t even our first choice either. Donovan’s told us no a couple of times.

I can’t remember in the Tubby hiring, but I’m pretty sure we interviewed others that time as well.

I hope Kentuck doesn't feel their brief courtship was in vain. Drew desperately needed a raise. By spending some quality time with the guy he finally gets to stay where he wants and make some money.

I thought coaches would crawl to Lexington for the opportunity to coach there?

So that leaves the other top two targets: Dan Hurley and Billy Donovan.

Hurley has said as much, he's not leaving UConn. And, why would he? The guy is building a dynasty in the northeast.

Donovan hasn't coached in the college ranks in over ten years. Reportedly, he was jaded about the recruiting landscape then. Imagine it now with NIL, transfer portal etc.

My guess, fwiw, they will offer Tommy Lloyd. And, honestly, a solid hire.
