Gil Brandt
@Gil_Brandt
They're having trouble selling tix to the #ALAvsWIS game on Saturday. Only around 40k sold as of yesterday. Very few bought by Badger fans.

This shouldn't surprise anyone and I don't really blame Wisky fans not attending.

Why would a Big10 fan waste money traveling
to Texas to watch their team violated?

They tend to travel better than this. They aren't going because they know Bama is going to destroy them.

Why I wish we did a home-home. Why can't we have a matchup in Camp Randell? I would love to experience Madison on game day.

Agreed. College football fans, especially Alabama fans, are getting bored with these stale "neutral site" NFL Lite style games. Alabama has been doing this to fans year after year and there are only so many fans willing to fork over a couple thousand to fly their family to Dallas when we just got back from there. What was once cool and unique is boring. Neutral fields are for bowl games. Quit robbing the faithful fans of quality home games. Wisky v. Bama would be an awesome home and home series. I would much rather visit Camp Randall and drink in Madison bars than go to a half empty Jerry World. Keep playing big teams but for the love of god, stop the NFL stadium BS. I like college football more than NFL for a reason.

And I better not hear Saban bitch at the fans about not showing up to a game in Dallas against a team from Wisconsin. Sick of this shite.

I'm sure they can find the Lsu and McNeese State game on a third world internet site.

This makes me love the fact that we're playing UNC in the Dome but Notre Dame in a home-and-home. Know who you play in neutral site games? Teams whose campuses you don't really care about going to (UNC, Boise St, Louisville, etc). You play @Wisconsin and @Michigan and @PSU and @UCLA and @Texas and @Notre Dame.

ETA: Auburn-Louisville, UGA-UNC, Tennessee-GT are perfect games for neutral-site kickoffs. We all can generally guess who might win those affairs, but there's still enough name brand value that an upset could occur. It feels better than a rent-a-win and without the cost of having to miss out on some neat location.

Yeah, it's got a bowl-like feel, which is nice sometimes, but you're not missing out on a lot. I expect Atlanta (like DFW) will be able to pull some major neutral site games with the new stadium based on that buzz alone.

Playing in Dallas is starting to lose appeal I think. It's fine once, but we're all over Jerryworld, it's just a gigantic stadium at this point. Atlanta will be unique, but in time it'll be just another stadium in a big city too.

Jerryworld is a sterile place to watch a college football game. Fans are starting to realize this.

I believe I'd rather spend a weekend in Detroit than go back to the giant asphalt field known as "Arlington"
