The point was and still is why would an ethical administration fly in a person like Les Miles or someone else of that caliber if Luke is the man at least for the forseeable future?

Interim generally means a bit more than a week or so doesn't it? Which goes back to the original question. Why bring in Les Miles if Luke is the man? Is the report a pile of shite or are the OM administration that steaming pile?

They also added an extra 500K to his salary, which to me means he's absolutely coaching this team in 2017. Bijork also stated Luke will have a chance to earn the job and that a coaching search wouldn't take place until mid-season. I think what everyone here is missing is that Luke said he'd have an O-line coach hired by the end of the week.........That's what Les is.....an O-line coach.

Isn't Luke the "interim" coach? Interim does not mean permanent until they drop the word interim. Les aint taking that horrible arse job anyway. ....

Here is a great example for you. Cam Cameron was fired. Steve Ensminger became the interim OC. Ensminger is a hometown boy, ex-LSU QB, and is well liked. He did a pretty damned good job.
When the season was over they hired an OC. Ensminger went back to being the TE coach, making almost $400k. He coaches a game he loves and played, in his home town, for the school he played at. I doubt he is mad.
Luke will be alright.
