This type of comment is revisionist history. If you removed every SEC and National title Bama has won under Saban, Alabama would still have more conference and national titles than anyone else in the conference.
Bama is the #1 football program in the SEC just as Kentucky is the #1 basketball program. If Cal retires, I don't expect Kentucky to all of a sudden suck and not be the premiere team. Same thing with Bama in football.

The rate won't change. But, the driving force behind the act will; it will simply look a bit more like that in Arkansas and other SEC locales ... less celebratory, more consolatory
