I kind of hope they win. We suck anyway and can't win the NC game even if we make the playoffs. I think LSU gives the SEC the best shot at the NC and that is a huge payout for Alabama. I would be willing to lose if it is that kids wish to get to see the game.

Good spot Scoop. That's fricked up for sure. Every extra day for this kid is a blessing.

I imagine he'll be thrilled with the experience no matter the result on the gridiron.

I'll just file this under Conversations On Planet Earth That Should Never Have Occurred.

We all know LSU fans AND Bama fans support him.

I hope the young man is there, delivers a real life "Gipper" speech, and then gets to watch LSU beat the brakes off Bama.

"I hope a kid suffering from a horrible disease can't experience his last dying dream so that it helps my team win a football game that is inconsequential in the long run"

Exactly the attitude I would expect from a certain faction of Bama fans.

Oh I believe it Scoop. I have some Bama friends and I believe every word you said about that story but your reaction to what she said was great. That is how a normal person would react to that kind of....I am not sure what to call it.

I was at a friends house last night and of course we are all Bama fans. They are wealthy and have a skybox in Tuscaloosa, so we are not talking trailer park fans. These people are all alumni from Alabama.

She said, and I paraphrase, have you heard about the kid that lives here that is dying of cancer that is an LSU fan? I responded by saying yes I read a lot about it this week and coach Miles told him to save him a place in heaven. I proceeded to talk about how tragic it was and could you imagine being a teenager and your only dream left is to see a damn football game.

She immediately said, "but Miles is talking about having him come to the game and talk to the team and that could be the motivation they need to beat us. I have heard is is not doing well and we need to hope he doesn't feel like actually coming to the game and speaking to the team. I hope he lives but I hope he watches from home."

I was speechless! How do you respond to that? And, people wonder what is wrong with this fricking world we live in.

One of two things:

1. Nothing has ever not happened more than this didn't happen.

2. You hang with garbage people. Keep in mind, that if this one is true, you're probably a garbage person.

Well she pretty much marked bama with that statement. How anyone could say that is mind boggling.

And then the idiots on here that think I would make that story up are about as sick as she is in my opinion.

I probably wouldn't have started this thread out of respect for the kid and his family. Who knows who is reading these posts?

Gump gonna gump....I am sure there are dumb LSU fans as well. Shouldn't take over your life. When football does and you are just a fan, your life must suck. More important things than football.

That's just the mentality of bama's fringe fan element, that all. You know, the 95% that makes the other 5% look bad.
