Never be surprised that there are stupid, heartless people in this world.

The tragic fact is that the world is full of them.

I suspect their are many affluent Alabama fans from Mountain Brook that would move heaven and earth to make sure the kid is happy one last time.

I agree and I think both sides are working very hard to make it happen. The kid is from Mt. Brook, I just said Birmingham.

Could have missed it, but I have never seen anything indicating Miles wants Sid to 'talk' to the team before the game.

I'd like to think she is in the minority of Alabama fans.

is she the one that went airborne on the OU fans??

My first thought as well.

Seriously, though...she is a heartless bitch.

She may not LIVE in a trailer park, but she obviously channels her inner trailer park trashiness quite effectively.

I am waiting for the post from Tuscaloosa telling us all how much he admires this woman and wants her to autograph his infant child.

Yeah some people need to take a step back and realize football is not the most important thing in the world. Just because he's from Birmingham doesn't mean he has to be a Bama fan. Kid has a terminal illness and may not even make it to the game in two weeks. This lady needs a good slap to the face for putting bama/lsu football over his life. In the end, it's just a game.

I think this woman is Harvey Updyke's long lost sister.

I love the fact that the women in this thread are calling this friend of yours out more than anyone.

In another thread, someone said he was fighting to live long enough to see LSU beat Alabama. If I could be guaranteed he'd live long enough to see LSU beat Alabama, I'd hope for a 70-year Bama win streak and Sid could watch us finally beat them with his grandchildren.

The success yall have had in the Saban era has really gotten to some people. I see it a lot with some of my family members that are bama fans. Winning doesn't do it for them any more so they just have to be arrogant and smug.

She immediately said, "but Miles is talking about having him come to the game and talk to the team and that could be the motivation they need to beat us. I have heard is is not doing well and we need to hope he doesn't feel like actually coming to the game and speaking to the team. I hope he lives but I hope he watches from home."

It's amazing that we fans get so carried away that we forget that our respective teams success or failures have absolutely nothing to do with anything we have done personally. Many of us tend to place too much of our personal sense of well being and self worth on a sport. Sid helps us put it all on perspective.
