Sims really choked in some big games. And no clue why someone thinks he throws the deep ball well (unless it was internet sarcasm).
Several of the alum I still converse with felt he was one of the major weaknesses on the team.

Namath and Stabler both threw the deep ball better than AJ and BS6.

Sims had to be limited big time. He simply was not a downfield passer. Anything more than a 10 yard throw was extremely risky. Kiffin did a great job hiding his weaknesses. My hat is off to Sims for his grit and effort though. Could not have asked for more.
