That's incredible news to me. Guy wasn't exactly a baller except for a game or two against terrible teams.

Comparing him to the best QB in Bama history

But if that's the case it's good news because you won't replace him easily.

McCarron wasn't as tough as Blake.

Sims set Bama's total offensive yardage record using the same record setting wide receiver in 1 year that McCarron had for 2 years. He's not going to the college hall of fame but I feel the dude's gotten a lot of flack after having a hell of a year.

Blake would have probably loved to have that 2011 Defense behind him

I'd easily take AJ over Sims. If Sims was better at running the read (seems like he never knows when he should keep it), my decision would be tougher.

He may not be better than AJ, but he is a much more beloved player than AJ was.

Most Alabama fans are idiots.

Then again, the majority of most fanbases are idiots.

It's just how the world works.

Sims hasn't been very impressive, but I think he has great potential to get better. The O line will be better next year, I think.

Never heard of Starr, Namath, or Stabler?

Sims was a better leader than McCarron, and that's why I'd take him first.

Bama-obsessed

I think we heard the same thing when Sims replaced McCarron right? And McCarrom replacing McElroy. Of course McElroy replacing JPW.

Well he is waaaaay more likable. So I can see why he gets the benefit of the doubt.

He did everything AJ could do and also things he couldn't do. Fact.

He couldn't throw the football half as well as AJ did though. He could run like a deer though.
