Gilmore burst on the scene his freshman year and made an immediate impact, so I really don't think it has a whole lot to do with anything outside of issues we had with position changes. We shifted a lot of guys around in the offseason to try improving our already top-notch pass D and it failed miserably. We had guys out of position all year, not just Gilmore.

This year, they're going back to what we were doing 2 years ago, with a beefier LB crew. I think we'll be fine, and it'll do nothing but help, albeit improve, Gilmore's on field performance.

Was sort of just kidding.

I guess I probably sound like one of the Bama guys saying "you still mad" over Saban.

I do believe Cooper has improved our defensive backfield play enough to think he may be may be the most irreplaceable coach on our defensive staff.

Any good SEC Passing Team went after Dre last year. His claim to fame was the ARK game inwhich Mallett overthrew an open WR and Dre got the INT. He is good against the run despite his size, but is weak against a good passer.

Wrong. The only games he really struggled in were the first half of the arky game, and the USCe game.

Simon has looked great in limited playing time. Him and trex go along well with mo. Mo seems a little more disciplined than them. Our youngsters play very aggresively and will get beat occasionally for it while mo likes to keep everything in front of him.

As long as lsu can learn how to guard a quick slant all 3 of our corners will make it extremely hard to complete a pass. Pass rush should be good and that will make them look even better.

I hated on kirk a lot last year cuz I'm a jerk but bama's secondary should be crazy good if they actually get some pressure on the qb.

Are there no flagship dbs in the discussion? Figured there would be since they will have a top 3 defense.

the USCe game

Alshon made him his bitch. Actually, a lot of receivers made Dre their bitch. The potential is there, but he was abused too much this past year to be given the credit he receives.
