So, will a 7-5 regular season keep Dooley at TN one more year?

More than likely the Vols are losing their next two games. They have Alabama at home and then they go to South Carolina.

After that, they sit at 3-5 overall. Games remaining are Troy, Mizzou, Vandy, and Kentucky. All 4 they have the talent to win, puts them at 7-5 heading to a bowl game.

A bowl win puts them at 8-5. Is that good enough to keep him for one more year?

He has no shot at returning without a win against Alabama or South Carolina.

Then he has no shot at returning.....

As poster on Volquest said..... "It's 3rd and one.... Everbody go long."

3-19 in SEC games in last 3 years. We have hit rock bottom.

Thats sort of retarded. Considering there are not many teams, maybe 2 or 3 nation wide that can beat either one of those two teams.

He put himself in this situation. It will be this third consecutive 0-5 start in SEC play. He's a total failure.

So how long is TN going to keep hiring and firing? It has been proven twice now that TN does not have the ability to go and pluck a big name coach.

Watch out for the Vandy game...that one is a road game for you I think. Still....6-6 is bad and losing to rivals Vandy and UK on successive years is hard to take if you do lose to thye Dores, if you win...then 7-5. Mizzou is not worthy of being in SEC yet.

Idgaf about a "big name" anyone would be an improvement over Derek "big game" Dooley.

I think they need to give him an extension.

Honestly, who would they hire right now that is better than Dooley. If they can get Gruden then I think they should do it, if not they need to stay the course or just get set back that much further with the firing and hiring of a new coach.

Unless the next coach sets Neyland Stadium on fire on day one then resigns on day two, he can't be worse than Dooley.

That's just wrong, and it's not even my opinion at the moment. It's just the truth.
