People jump on J Frank for what he did but give Richarsdson a pass. That's why I think Arky fans are very fickle. They hated Nolan at first, loved him during the time being shown on video, became tired of him, then turned on him. But now people blame J Frsnk

The most racist people in basketball were Thompson at Georgetown, Chaney at Temple and Richardson at Arkansas. Did any of that come out?

I don't think Frank was wrong in firing him. It was the way he treated Nolan beforehand. They were both wrong IMO.

Nolan endured more racism before he was 20 than he ever dished out to anyone his whole life.

I'm not talking about what he got fired for. I'm talking the BCA stuff that gets forgotten that started the divide. People forget that part of story. Sigma, I'm not trolling, are you?

He's trollin.

If Arkansas fans "turned on Nolan" it was largely due to what they were being fed by Frank and Frank's lackeys.

The minute Frank was gone, Nolan was treated like a returning hero.

Neither did they address Frank's racist comments made behind the scenes. I don't think either one is racist. I just think they were both playing that game against one another.

Watching this show explains A LOT of Nolan's anger.

Nolan made some insensitive comments. Like I said, Nolan has made reference to getting too caught up in BCA agenda.

I don't get ESPNU, so I haven't seen it. But I do know quite a bit about what was brought out in court. I would have been pissed too. His anger was just poorly directed. It's really sad.

I think its true some of what he's saying. Frank didn't treat him like he treated Nutt.

A guy like Nolan demands respect. Given where he came from, its understandable why that would be a HUGE deal to him.

His words are still unacceptable and he had to be let go.

You're calling him a racist, but in reality I think he was just more "racially aware" than anything else.

He wasn't allowed to travel with his college team to some games because the other team "didn't allow N-words on their court."

Its not as cut and dried as you'd like it to be. The guy had a lot of anger, and a lot of it was justified.

No...but it does help one understand some of his reactions toward some of the racism being directed toward him by Frank during his last days.

I don't think he's racist at all. Like wmr stated, he's (aware) or very sensitive to it, and he hates it. His comments were impulsive and misdirected. If you knew some of the crap he had to put up with, you might understand, and I'm not talking about during his early years.

I don't think anyone is totally exempt from getting caught up in that kind of anger/response under some conditions...right or wrong.

It's BS that they didn't show how he is the ONLY coach to win a NJCAA NIT and NCAA title

White did get his side out some but not sure it was needed.

It deserved more than that if you use the Pitino to compare him, IMO

No, Nolan's words were plenty to fire his arse, regardless of what was happening behind the scenes.

And until the fanbase started to understand more of what was really happening behind the scenes, there was no reason to not feel anger at Nolan. That part was still hard to watch. It was a lapse in judgement on his part, but damn was it public...
