Maybe, maybe not. Iowa still has not played a decent team and Oklahoma has. Just as likely Oklahoma could be 4.

The playoff committee is not easy to predict

But I will make anyone a bet on here Iowa will be top 4 this week. And they sure as hell will be top 4 f they go 13-0. I don't care what nd or Oklahoma do

I agree but almost no one outside of Iowa right now thinks that will happen. If Iowa wins out they should be in. They should be 4 this week but we have seen other teams punished for playing weak schedules and they may take a wait and see approach with Iowa like they did Baylor and TCU.

Give it to Navy.

Would love to see a service academy have a shot to take down the big boys

But that's not what we were talking about. I said Iowa controls their destiny. Which they do

It doesn't matter if people don't think they will win. But if they win they are in

Oklahoma, nd or mich state don't necessarily control their destiny

They do not, I agree. I am amending my previous statement to include Iowa controlling their own destiny with Clemson and Bama. I still think if it's Michigan State to come out of the Big whatever that they will be 5th and left out.

I think it's a tough call between thos three

Okla. beat tcu, Baylor, okie st, tenn. loss. Texas. That's bad
Mich st. Beat Iowa, Oregon, Ohio st, mich. loss Nebraska. Again bad
Irish. Beat Stanford, usc, navy (Texas by 5 tds). Loss Clemson close. Not bad

Oklahoma would be out in my opinion but there are arguments either way

If Florida wins sec I don't think they are better than any of those teams but they would probably get in

Navy had a shot to do that on October 10.

I actually don't think they would. I think at this point, It's Bama or nobody for the SEC. Too many close calls against shitty teams.

My playoff prediction is :

1. Clemson (assuming they win out)
2. Bama (would be awesome if they dropped the SECC game and Florida loses to FSU so no SEC team makes it in)
3. OU (assuming they win out)
4. MSU (^^)

Would love for the Bama scenario to happen in which case ND would be the 4th IMO.

USCe could punch the snot out of the nose of the Clumps and throw this thing into a tizzy.

That would be great!

If the Big 12 doesn't have an outright winner, the committee will choose a one-loss Notre Dame instead because it's much less controversial. The committee couldn't care less about choosing the best four. They just don't wanna explain themselves and want as little controversy as possible.

Yeah, It'd be interesting if a becomes a shitshow like 2007

Iowa loses to NEB
MSU loses to PSU
Ohio St. beats UMich
Bama loses to AUB
OK State beats OKLA
SC beats CLEM
Stanford beats ND

Then what?

Its entirely possible Iowa Loses to Nebraska and then beats MSU in the championship game, with ND losing to Stanford, who loses to USC or UCLA, and the big 12 ends up with Baylor and OU in.
