Funny how corndogs say ole miss. Miss State is Ole Miss' rival. LSU has no real rival anymore. They should revive their Tulane rivalry.

LSU self-loathing is way bigger than LSU football. It's characteristic of the South Louisiana Catholic/French culture and goes back 300 years. I see it every day. Saban called LSU fans out for it in year one. People not from here sense it immediately. So yes, LSU fans are at war with LSU fans in a way that other fan bases may not be. It's also why when things are good, there is no better place to be, considering our need for celebration and living life out loud. Those moments of real cohesion are glorious. The bad times can be pretty cannibalistic. We don't keep our disputes "in-house". We just let it fly.
But make no mistake, Arkansas is not a rival. Arkansas is an afterthought. In LSU minds, they are sneaky in that they can beat us when we are clearly better, but the aura of used-car-salesman and plastic hog hats that emanate from Arky, disqualifies them as a serious candidate for rivalry.

LSU's historic rival is Ole Miss.
Next, Bama and Auburn are at the top. Then it is the Florida Gators. Next it is the Big 12 schools: Arkansas and Texas A&M little Brothers.
