I remember when Bama fans used to get excited about recruiting (around 2008?) because they weren't used to it and any small victory would be cause for celebration.
Now a #1 recruiting class for Bama fans is greeted with a ho-hum because it's expected. Because actual victories are celebrated as victories.
Didn't realize LSU was reduced to this. Reeks of nouveau riche.
Good luck with your glorified strength coach as the head man.

The state of Louisiana has very good players as does all the southern states. LSU can only get 25 as UGA can only do the same in their rich state. Alabama produces very good players.
It's about getting players that fit and develop. Hard working ballers. It's hit and miss with some.
I'd have taken all the Tide players over Clemson's except QB and Hunter the WR. Those two probably made the difference in the Championship game, even though the game could have easily went either way.
It's usually like that in several games Bama plays against other SEC teams during the year.

I'm sure you just forgot about Mike Williams. That dude is better than any other receiver in the SEC.

Deon Cain probably is too. I would take Legget over Bama's TE.

Bull. Howard is legit. He was vastly underused at Alabama. It is criminal how badly he was underused at Alabama. Our offensive scheme with him on the field is a travesty.

Idk about all that. OJ Howard is a freak of nature.

i agree he was underused but the plays he made in the two games against CU he was wide open. i think Legget has more athleticism. Howard probably blocks better though.
i don't think HOward makes the catch that leggett made on the final drive.

some of the biggest alabama homers here root for other colleges but live vicariously thru alabama.
bama is what you think your program should be.

Nah. I know y'all won, but try not to homer all over yourself.

1. O.J. Howard was the most impressive player of the day. The Alabama TE made a couple of one-handed catches. He made everything look easy. He did a nice job blocking in the run game, too, from what I saw.-- Daniel Jeremiah

Best prospect: O.J. Howard, Alabama (South) — Generally, players who feel and/or are sure bets to be high draft picks pass on the Senior Bowl in favor of training for the Combine. Howard, who clearly is the best tight end in the 2017 class and likely a top-25 pick, has chosen to attend, much to the delight of the host of Alabama fans. He might rise to Vernon Davis-level draft position during the process.

i read that howard runs 'sloppy routes' which may be why he doesn't get the ball enough.
i'm not saying he's bad.

You can rest assured that I don't live vicariously through Bama
It's silly to say the only reason I think OJ Howard is more athletic than Leggett is because I'm a Bama homer. OJ Howard is one of the most athletic tight ends in college in the last 10 years. The kid is an absolute freak of nature. There's a reason he will probably be a first round pick without first round stats. His ceiling is through the roof and has the potential to be an all time great.
