LSU had to vacate one of their NCAA titles a couple of years ago.

Yeah. Apparently nasal decongestants are an NCAA violation.

If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.
SC's was bullshite though. The amount of money these guys were paying to live there was still like living in a nice apartment and they weren't given any more cash than any other athletes for their housing stipend. The same guy that brought recruits to SC brought Floyd to UF, and whatever happened with that? Floyd was even adopted by an alumni down there!

Ole Miss hasn't had a serious NCAA infraction in 20 years. A beacon of truth and decency in a world of debauchery.

And a sudden top 5 recruiting class just because Oxford is such a fun town and Ole Miss is a world of unicorns and sunshine...

No, no. Not a single one of those fine bama athletes profited a single penny from the text books. Those generous athletes gave those text books away for free.

Get that shite out of here. It was a mistake in the books system that any student could have taken advantage of without realizing it.

If any student could get the text books, why were 16 sports at bama put on probation because of this? Wouldn't the athletes just tell their friends about the scam? Ahhhh, I get it now. Those fine bama athletes were saving their friends gas which was helping save the environment.

Any student that was on scholarship could use it. On your syllabus, you have required and recommended books. If you were on scholarship, you are supposed to be able to get the required books but not the recommended ones. There was a mistake in the system where you could get the recommended books with your scholarship. That's what happened to 99% of the athletes. I think only 3 athletes received more than $50 of books they weren't supposed to. But sure, keep talking out of your arse.

Because they got books for themselves and the NCAA considered it an impermissible benefit.
