I pretty much agree with everything you said.

Alleva doesn't have the best track record with contracts and negotiations. No offense meant by saying that, as I have seen LSU fans say the same thing. I would be a little worried if I were y'all.

There is always going to be worry when replacing a coach, even when everyone in the world agrees the coach should be fired. There are no sure things and you're making a multi-million, multi-year commitment to something that isn't a sure thing. There really have been only two sure things as coaches the past 10 years, Saban and Meyer, and they're not available. So yes, everyone is absolutely worried and should be, but I'd be worried if Les was quitting tomorrow just the same. It's not my money paying his buyout or the university's or the AD's. They're the ones that need to worry about the financial side of things.

Alleva won't be making the ultimate decision here.....if those boosters are forking out that kind of cash, they will making the decisions as well. Which may be a good thing, takes the heat and pressure off Joe.

honestly, with a buyout like that, I would not mind getting canned and coaching high school ball for the rest of my life

If you are referring to the Chavis fiasco, rumor is that contract didn't get signed because Alleva anticipated this exact situation. He didn't want to be tied to any commitments if he had to fire Miles.

I'm not buying gas until LSU hires a coach in order to not contribute.

Why would Fisher want to leave FSU to come to LSU? He's got his own operation going down there, a furtile recruiting base, and he has a much easier road to the playoff by playing in the ACC.

Don't ask me who or why but for some reason over the years Jimbo has maintained friends in LA that I ASSUME are connected to the LSU program and from his own mouth he has said he would not mind coming back. I don't know how dated those words were but in the last two season he got a big raise and extension.

Roughly the same cost of Alabama's new baseball stadium.
