Best recruiter in the game, and a Louisiana boy?
This state would be on lockdown.
Yes you will be great in recruiting. But how is that any different than what ya'll currently had? It wasn't lack of recruiting that hurt ya'll. It was having a decent game plan. You think Coach O is gonna fix that :haha: I hope ya'll find a to keep O. Signed every SEC team ever.

As an ole miss fan the LAST person you want is coach Orgeron as the LSU coach
Well it definitely makes the game more tension-filled with your ex-head coach coaching for the other team. I don't disagree with that. I don't think I worry too much about him being proficient at beating us year in and year out, though.
He will recruit very well. But then again, Les Miles recruited very well. I would be 100x more fearful of Chip Kelly or Tom Herman. So no, Ed Orgeron is not the last person I want to see LSU hire. He is, in fact, my hope for your team's coaching vacancy.

In his final season, we won zero SEC games with the likes of Mike Wallace, Michael Oher, Peria Jerry, John Jerry, Kendrick Lewis, Greg Hardy, Dexter McCluster (although injured early) -- all future NFL draft selections.
Add in Shay Hodge, Marshay Green, Cassius Vaughn, Jerell Powe, BJGE, Tony Fein, Johnathan Cornell, Patrick Trahan.. All played in the League to some degree and you realize how great Coach O is at maximizing talent.
**Footnote: LSU beat that team by 3 touchdowns

I don't think he has much of a shot honestly. You can't fire a guy like Miles and not make a splash hire. Even though I feel like O would be an ok hire it's just not the right time.

Blank check a completely new support staff and coordinators with Coach O running the show and they can be dangerous. Leave the HCing decisions all to him and they'll be a dumpster fire.
I honestly see the team rallying behind him this year and finishing strong. Les and O recruited these kids and they love them. As long as he doesn't sabotage himself with stupidity, they have a shot.

I suspect Ed will get some love from the fans and beat a few teams. I predict he gets hired and stays on as LSU's new head coach.
You read it here first.
I don't know why LSU didn't promote Dave Aranda to be the interim HC. Why not see what you got with him? What if Aranda turns out to be the next great HC?

Ed had full contact practices the day before a game. He had the team do bull in the ring during halftime. He not only lost his team, he destroyed his team. During the year when things were going very badly, there was a game where he was cussing everyone and no one would answer him. He lost his staff. That was his stint at Ole Miss. USC loves Ed. He landed on his feet. He did a good job as their interim. He was not the presumed leader of that national powerhouse elitist Hollywood program. Just like Rich Rod was not for Michigan. Those programs are so snobby. Ed is a LSU guy. He played for LSU. Has he done some stupid shite? Hey, but I think he has learned from his mistakes. He is tough as nails. He is a defensive guy, so you will get a new OC who hopefully can light it up. He will recruit lights out and give you solid defense. Honestly Les is the worst game manager in he history of college football, so he will not do worse. This season will tell the tale.

Cann't see LSU's AD hiring a defensive coach as HC. We need an offensive HC who has a proven track record of putting up points, which is what college football is all about nowadays. We'll have to wait & see what Coach O does with the offense for the rest of the season: marked improvement...changes..he may get the chance. But I still see him as doubtful.
